I hope that you are safe and at home, social distancing!
Things here in NYC are very scary, as they are all across the world, and just leaving the house feels risky.
I have also wept knowing so many of my friends and colleagues in our music industry are hurting. It goes without saying that every single person I have met in my career, thousands around the world, are in serious trouble. Our industry is one of the first to feel the immediate impacts from this pandemic and will be one of the last to recover.
Many of you reading this have gone from guaranteed income to zero overnight – including, not only artists, but also managers, crews, promoters, agents, and small businesses like mine. I know many of you supplemented your income with jobs that have disappeared, and it was already a constant hustle to make ends meet as an artist.
I have also seen so many beautiful things on social media, and I know this one thing is true – artists will never stop making music. It is what brings us together – we see this from the balconies of Italy to the living rooms and bedrooms of so many who have come online to share their talent, hopes, and fears.
I know many of you may be on the fence about releasing music during this time. Some ask – who will care? My answer is – more people will care now than ever before. More people are online listening and watching.
And many of you need to use this time to build. So for those of you who are interested in building up your PR profiles and some free music publicity, Cyber PR LAB 1: Musician’s Guide to Publicity is now absolutely free.
If you have ever wanted to get PR, or tried and failed, this course will teach you all you need to know to get on music blogs, podcasts, and playlists.
Your music deserves to be heard by more people.
I created the course to help empower artists to take control of their PR, get free music publicity, and get more fans – now that we are working from home and feeling isolated, it is music that will help us get through.
This LAB is 3 parts, and I will be holding a weekly Live Q&A in April where you can ask me any questions on Instagram Live so we can all have a hang out and connect. Many of the artists who have taken my LABS have connected and collaborated with one another, and that for me is the best part of all – especially now.
FIRST WEEK: Tuesday, April 14th at 2 PM EST
SECOND WEEK: Wednesday, April 22 at 4 PM EST
THIRD WEEK: Thursday, April 30 at 8 PM – So our Australian friends can join us live!
